Google cardboard and My AGPtek Colorcross VR (viewer) - TopicsExpress

Google cardboard and My AGPtek Colorcross VR (viewer) impressions...So I have tried 20 or so Virtual Reality Demos. How is it? Amazing! (for $30). I have demoed V.R. To just over 25 friends. Everyone seamed to really be impressed. 5 of those people, albeit impressed, suffered from vertigo. (Probably shouldnt have started with a roller coaster demo hehe.) Everyone else wanted to try half dozen demos or so. Had one friend walk into his fridge. I wont mention any names. It really feels like your there, Hell I got to stand on stage 7 feet from Paul McCartney! Even though in this demo you cant move it is 360 degree 3D. Your free to look where you want. The screen takes up almost all of your vision. The detail could be just a tiny bit better, however I am using a note 3 (1080P). A 4K screen like an LG G3 or even better a Note 4 would be perfect. At the extents of your field of view you can slightly see the edge of the lenses. This will be improved with newer viewers, and there will be nothing to remind you that you are in a virtual space. For now the demo graphics are xbox / PS2 quality. As newer headsets come out like the oculus rift(PC) or Sonys Morpheus (PS4), the sense of being somewhere real will be beyond impressive. There is less space between pixels on those. This is simple to use. You download the app you want. Just open it. Slide the phone into the viewer. If you want to see the demos and have an android, search roller coaster VR In the play store, it will give you an idea what their like. On a side note google is releasing a development kit to everyone. This is for all to use and create demos. I may create a V.R. Pub. As a sort of a virtual hangout. Just knowing where this tech will go is exciting. Well I think I may go walk around Tuscany for a little bit. Or maybe look around Mars. I will see you all when I get back.
