Gooooood morning! Here is your Friday & weekend forecast.... Itll be a bright but cold and frosty start for most of the UK and Ireland this morning, with the risk of ice as well. Most of England and Wales will be mainly dry, but some outbreaks of rain are likely across the south-west and these will skim eastwards along southern England through the day with some hail and thunder and possibly snow over the high ground towards this evening as it turns colder. Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and the Republic will see showers bringing hail, sleet and snow, mainly over the hills and mountains, but lower levels are at risk of some wintry downpours too. Top temperatures of 2 to 5°C, thats 36 to 41°F. Tonight will see further wintry showers, again mostly over Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland and the Republic but also across to Wales, the West country and perhaps the Midlands. The weekend will remain cold and unsettled. Tomorrow will be another cold day and breezy. Itll be rather cloudy as well with scattered wintry showers, mainly across western areas. There is a small chance of rain, sleet and maybe some snow to southern and eastern parts. Sunday will remain cold with further sleet and snow showers coming in from the north. There will be widespread overnight frosts through the weekend as well.
