Got myself in a little adrenalin rush today: took a minor road over the hills from Cowra to Crookwell, slow and steady (rain, wind, gravel windy road ) til Reids Flat , then there was no way further other than driving through water (flooded creek) or turning back. Called into farm house to ask if there was another way around:no, but you should still be able to drive through Long coaxing session followed, including him getting his car and leading the way and I finally did it! Old chap was so chuffed he did a little jig and tooted me on my way. No where dry to camp in crookwell, so am now in the quaintest little village, Taralga camping in the show grounds! Smorgasbord of smells for the dogs ......! Weather not improving so am going to Anitas place tomorrow (providing I dont get drowned out or blown away tonight) and continue touring later.
