Got out of the car at Dollar General and heard the worst noise I have ever heard. Turned around to see a jeep speeding incredibly fast, and then flip over SEVEN times. She flipped twice in the street and then over the curb and flipped 5 more times landing upside down in the Dollar General parking lot. She eventually landed upside down. I ran as fast as I could over to the car, bending down to her window on my hands and knees. I tried to keep her calm while we waited for the ambulance. The entire windshield had shattered into her face, and she was in a panic. I told her she needed to calm down and to NOT move until the ambulance got there. I tried to explain to her that if she had a spinal cord injury, or if anything was broken, she could make it much worse by moving. She refused to listen to me and somehow squeezed her way out of the tiny crushed space that was once a window. As she slid the rest of the way out, an open bottle of vodka rolled out from under where she was laying. I was still on my hands and knees and just looked at her. She hurried up and hid it under a coat that was laying in the car. The police arrived and tried to get her to get into the ambulance. She was bleeding quite a bit and she needed to be checked out. She kept insisting to them that she needed to grab something out of the car first. At that point, I pulled one of the officers aside to let him know about the hidden bottle. The officer noticed I had blood on my hands and asked me to please get checked out also. After cleaning my hands up, it was determined I had some glass in both of them, probably from being on my hands and knees at her window. She eventually got into the ambulance and sat down next to me. I sat next to her while the pieces of glass were dug out of my hands. I dont think I have ever had someone look at me the way she did. She was SOOO angry. Such a sad situation. Sorry for the rant but I needed to vent before I attempt to sleep....
