Got the phone call at 9:45pm tonight, as my family and I were driving around the streets again searching for Pepper for the 5th night, that he was found and safe!!!!!! He was found on wheeler road close to the expressway in Central Islip/Hauppauge area and a wonderful family saved him from possibly getting hit by a car. I am so thankful that he was put in the arms of good people. I was slowly losing hope. These last few days have been a complete horror story. But on the bright side, I have so many people to thank. All my friends and family who reached out to me and who helped share my postings. All the woman who Ive encountered on facebook who I have never even met but have been my backbone through this whole situation. You ladies were my Guardian Angels and I can never repay you for all the ways you helped me. Feel like I have some wonderful new friends in all of you. Chris from Lost & Found Pets of Long Island - Community, you helped me spread the word and told me all the steps I needed to take. All the shelters, vets, businesses who truly were routing for me to find my boy. My mother, my brother and sister-in-law who havent stopped searching with me. But the person I need to thank the most out of everyone is Warren Kostis. I couldnt have done it without him. When I was weak, he kept me strong. He was there through all the blood, sweat and tears (literally) and didnt let me give up for a second. Everyday we started from the moment we woke up until the sun was no longer out. All that hard work paid off. And you said we would find him. So thank you again to everyone! I have been so overwhelmed with the amount of support I was receiving and overwhelmed with the amount of people who were really trying to help me. I shall not lose faith in the goodness of the world. Thank you. Im so happy to have him home! Now I can finally get some sleep (and maybe eat something). Xoxoxoxoxoxoxo, Ruthy and Pepper
