Got to start a new thread here. Best teachers and coaches you have ever known at Hudson. Ray Hyser was one of the best coaches and people I ever met. I was equipment manager as a freshman in 72. Too small to play football, yet I served. Ray used to sit and talk with me in his office because he coached my uncle and knew my family. He got me the job. He cared so much. I have known many great people in my life. He mentored me as a friend. I put him in the same with my Command Sergeant Major Jim Lyons who I serve with in Special Forces in Germany. Both the same yet different. Men who could be stern and gentle. Ray who made men and Jim who took men and made them better. I am a good man because of those people and others. Tell me your story.
