Governor Okorocha Dares not Insult my Wife – Dr. Casmir Anyanwu The husband of Distinguished Senator Chris Anyanwu, Dr. Casimir Anyanwu, has reacted to recent unguarded statement credited to the IMO State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, at the recently concluded “Oru Owerre Cultural Festival. He stated that the Governor could not have referred to his wife, rather he made a general statement. Anyanwu, who is a Federal Commissioner representing Imo State in Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, said this in Owerri while interacting with journalists. “I don’t believe that Governor Okorocha was talking about Senator Chris Anyanwu. I do know for sure that there are other women in the State running for Governorship and other elective positions. If that statement was directed at her, he should have been man enough to mention her name, and that would have been an insult directed at me. Dr. Anyanwu further observed that governance is serious business, and if such trivial statement credited to Okorocha in the media is true, he should sit up.
