Grandma Helen was a sweet and humorous lady. I am sad but I also know she was in a lot of pain, and having gone through this enough to understand and not fear the death of myself or others. But I will miss her in my own way. My heart aches more for the family that welcomed me in back in 2006 when Amanda and I began this journey. And of course theres my wife who has been struggling with the inevitable over the past couple of weeks and once again needs to cope with a huge loss....my girls, all four of them. They loved grandma so much and will have her in their hearts, like us, forever. Please say a prayer for Amanda and all of the family that they find the comfort they need.
