Gratitude is such an underrated, underutilized aspect of human - TopicsExpress

Gratitude is such an underrated, underutilized aspect of human expression, I think. I have been starting every day with a brief gratitude prayer and then doing my best to stay in a mindset of gratitude throughout the day. Anyway---I was watching some Led Zeppelin videos, which led me to them receiving a Kennedy Center Honor in 2012 and I just spent the past 20 minutes the linked video where everyone from Jack Black to Lenny Kravitz to Heart pay them tribute for their music and contribution to our lives. I loved the shots of seeing their reaction to all the gratitude they were receiving, and was reflecting on how wonderful it must have been for them to see their music loved by so many people and how much they impacted so many peoples lives. Now, not very many of us are world famous rock stars, but I like to think we all have big impacts on more people than we know. Id also like to think the world would be a better place if we more freely expressed our gratitude to people in our lives, even people who are far away from us. In fact, with social media outlets like Twitter, Ive taken to sending thank yous to authors, musicians and such---Id like to think that they get those messages and it lifts their spirits up. Anyway, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, but why not express gratitude every day?
