Great News UPDATE: Court case over!!! My little boy stays with me the majority of the time!!!! And stays with N.ex every other weekend and half of the holidays. Im so so pleased!! The law and court system has changed in the UK though, it changed on 22nd April. The judge we had, applied the new rules to our case, even though its been going on for two years! The new law states something along the lines of cases not being allowed to go to court unless parents go through mediation first, and it will cost money now theyve done away with legal aid. It also states that theres a first hearing and a final hearing and thats it, and that theres no shared residence/contact order/residence order anymore. So in my case, we wont be going back to court, all the rules are written into the court order so I have nothing to worry about! I was slightly annoyed that its me and my partner that have to prove ourselves, rather than the N.ex, but I have nothing to hide and neither does my partner, so its not a huge bother, just frustrating that they still dont know what N.ex is really like and what hes up to. But the most important thing is my beautiful little boy is with me. I wonder what N.ex will throw at me next, because whatever it is will be revenge for this court order! I could never have gotten through all this without my fantastic support network of friends and family and this page, huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone. Advice to everyone of you lovely ladies who is stuck in the absolute thick of it and you cant see the light at the end of the tunnel, hang in there, you can do it, believe in yourself and keep on fighting for you and your children. Never lose hope. If I am able to go into a court room and fight for my little boy without a money grabbing solicitor/lawyer/whoever else there is who nabs your money, then Im absolutely certain every single lady on this page can do the same. Be proud of yourselves and stay strong.
