Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:12). Lord as we take this time today to honor our veterans, may our hearts be truly filled with gratitude. May we consider the price that was paid for us to still be able to worship you freely and to still be able to express our opinions right or wrong openly. We pray Lord for the covering of your precious blood over all those are who serving in our Armed forces and may they all come to know you in a personal way. I thank you for my three Grandsons who are serving our country and for the men they have become. I thank you for the time I served, for the lessons I learned about life that have caused me to be able to endure. And Lord may we who call ourselves “Christians” be reminded that we too are in a battle, but not with one other. 2 Tim. 2:3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
