Greetings AA Family! Since April, Saila has been in and out of the hospital. Saila was hospitalized last Tuesday and has been 1 week in the Michigan Congenital Heart Center at U of M. Shes doing very well and finally gaining weight every day. She made it to 10lbs on Saturday!!! With a tweak in her heart medicine and an additional diuretic, Saila still shows some signs of heart failure. Doctors have been monitoring Sailas rapids heartbeat and ran additional tests yesterday to check her blood count and her tummy due to the vomiting caused by the Digoxin Toxicity. Overall, she looks just fine. This 3 month old little girl is soo strong and bounces back quickly! We are hoping if all goes well, we will be able to go home in a day or 2. The cardiology team here is amazing! They stop by several times in the day to check on Saila. They definitely show that they care....to the extent that they wrote a letter to the insurance and got the Formula to be medically necessary and it was approved today. (Each can was costing us out of pocket $52) :( What a blessing!!! God continues to provide and care for our family. I am so thankful. :) These are a few current pictures of Saila.
