Greetings Bethel IJM Campus Chapter! My name is Joy Rasmussen and I am involved with the IJM campus chapter at UMD in Duluth, Minnesota. I wanted to connect with you and let you know about an exciting event happening tonight (Tuesday, March 25) at the Southdale Mall movie theatre in Edina. A nationwide premiere of the documentary #standwithme will be shown for a one day movie viewing event. #standwithme is a deeply moving hour-long film about child slavery. IJM has connected with the movie producer (Stillmotion) and supports this documentary. The film tells the story of a 9 year old girl starting a lemonade stand to free 500 children from slavery. The documentary not only shares about this girls successful efforts, but also exposes the darkness of child slavery worldwide. Heres a link to find out more about the film. standwithmemovie The film begins at 7:30 pm and tickets are $15. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A session with the film director and a casual reception at a restaurant in the mall. Minneapolis is one of 30 major cities in the U.S. premiering the film. It would be awesome for students from Bethels IJM group to attend this event. There are 69 seats left for the movie viewing. So feel free to invite all your friends!
