Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, As has been announced earlier, we will be having our annual UMP International Community Eid Celebration this Thursday, 21st August 2014. Here are a few things I would like to convey : 1. We will be having guests from the Immigration Department (those who deal with your applications ;) ), the Police Department, the Road and Transport Department, the Pahang State Foundation, the Islamic Department and the Kuantan Municipality. 2. We hope to start the event on time, at 11 am, so we really hope you could all be at the Astaka before 11 am. In fact, we would appreciate it very much if you could come a little earlier to lend a hand in decorating the Astaka. 3. One of the objectives of this event is sharing of culture. Hence, if possible, do please come in the attire traditionally worn during eid in your country - be proud of your heritage, and share it with the Malaysian community. 4. India and Bangladesh have committed to sharing their delicacies with us on this day. Afghanistan - there is no follow-up from you guys - do you still want to prepare something for the event? And the rest of you - ??? 5. Eid is a time for celebration. I am sure you have heard the music played especially for Eid in Malaysia. If you would like to share any music to be played during the event, please send the thumbdrive to IO latest tomorrow at 3 pm. We will include it in the repertoire this Thursday. 6. On behalf of IO, I hope that all of you will find time to be with us at this event, to interact with our guests, and to rejoice in the celebration. Please bring your family too, as they are also an important part of the UMP international community. See you this Thursday, insyaAllah.
