Greetings again Family; A break from the mundane. I felt the need to give some love to great martial artists that have languished in the shadows of well known superstars like Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Bruce Lee...not to mention Jason Stathan. The latter got all the love because they got all the publicity. So...Question; Ever heard of Tony Jaa...? Michael Jai White...? Or Donny Yen for that matter? There are of course many other incredible masters, but these are a few of my favorites. I thought my martial arts loving brothers (and sisters) would like this. The first 2 clips happen to be some of the best scenes of brutal acrobatic combat artistry by Tony, who is said to do all of his fight scenes raw and in one take. And what I also like about Tonys Ong Bak movies is that his fight scenes are 98% FULL CONTACT. Youll see him exhibit some of the locking, take-down and dislocation/breaking techniques that our beloved Grand-master Moses Powell taught through Sanuces Ryu. The next 2 is Donny Yen in his roll as the legendary Yip Man, the grand-master teacher of Bruce Lee who taught a potent style invented by a woman for self defense call Wing Chun. And finally for your viewing pleasure...one of my very-best favorite martial arts film by the brother I have always said should play The Black Panther...Michael Jai White in Blood and Bone...the FULL movie. For the squeamish...fair warning; This is a straight-up ballet of bone-breaking brutality...kinda the opposite of the chick-flick genre. Enjoy. I sure did... youtube/watch?v=rEbm7D1L_tA - Tony vs. Capoera youtube/watch?v=kn3uTpn60N0 - The Protector youtube/watch?v=7zYJPD6iqYo - Ip-Man star. Donny Yen youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3_lL4GaMVl4 youtube/watch?v=jOz0KQ0JiKU -Blood and Bone BTW; I suggest you see the entire movies the first 4 clips are extrapolated from. - Love, Light, and Transcendence...
