Greetings and salutations on this day, the fourth Sunday of Advent, Middle of Chanukah and the Winter Solstice. I have been reflecting on this year as it is coming to a close. I have experienced a number of awakenings, some good, some not so good and some, well...just awakenings. It has been a five year struggle with the home mortgage and while we have won the case for Statutory Mortgage Fraud along with some other illegal activities around this case, it is far from over it seems. Here is the crux of the matter, finding who actually owns the deed to the house and when can we put that matter to rest. Right now, we are stymied with our credit destroyed and taking the steps to have that fixed along with not being able to do anything with the house such as needed repairs or just moving on. I am really questioning if this whole thing is worth it and I will never have these five years back. On a more positive note, I finally am a married man and very happy to be so. It is something, decades ago, that I never thought would happen. Marriage to me, is about commitment and love and that pretty much sums it up. For those that believe in a religious ceremony for marriage, I support you on that. For us, it was completely a civil ceremony and that is sufficient for me. On family matters, I have moved on with some harsh realizations. I choose not to live my life with resentments and deal with those myself instead of taking them out on innocent members of my family. On the professional side of things, I am finally coming into my own as an artist and recognizing that. I have learned a lot about my career skills and other aspects of life here in Houston for the last decade. I pray for peace and happiness today and through the next year. Have a wonderful holiday season and celebrate it in whatever way inspires you! Respects, Jere.
