Greetings and welcome to AccountaBILLity Friday once again. I dont have much to offer this week but praise and recognition to all of you who are logging miles both inside and outside. It is just amazing. The frigid temps have kept many inside or looking for alternative ways to keep in shape, but it has also seen many braving the inhospitable elements. I have become spoiled living here in Eugene for the past few years with the temperate weather conditions. But, I ran for many years in Syracuse, and we had the luxury of a paved trail that ran along the shore of Onondaga Lake. It was closed to traffic and usually plowed and cleared. Though you got some gale force winds at times on the way down the 2-3+ mile winter path, you were treated to a brisk, pace quickening return run on the way back. This path was about 12 miles from my house and closer to work for noon time runs, but it was worth the trip, regardless of the weather. Often times, it would take me longer to get there than the time it took to run! Committed, or behavior worthy of having me committed- it depends, I suppose!😄🏃 Ski masks, goggles, YakTrax, warm hands- whatever it took, right Bill Scott?? To me, there is little worse than the dreadmill, and for those of you that consistently get it done this way, I truly commend and respect you. Keep up the awesome and inspiring work. What are you doing this weekend? Best wishes going out to all of the Goofy and Dopey runners out there- there arent many times that you can say this without offending!!!😝 I will be looking for my go to 8-10/4-5 in the cozy, gray, foggy, and temperate confines of the PNW. Best of wishes to all of you on your journey, as we all move together. Be safe out there and keep it all in perspective. It wont be long before we are lamenting the warm, hot, and humid temps of the summer season. Here are just two of the many faces of winter!!!!!! Brrrr......... WeMoveAsOne #megsmiles
