Greg had been complaining all weekend that his chest felt tight. I said it was grief over Scrappy. It feels like my heart is being squeezed and like someone knocked the wind out of me. But he kept saying how bad he felt. So he called our doctor. Ive been going to Dr. Hassel since 1989. When Greg and I got together in 1992, he started to go to Dr. Hassel too. I remember one time when I called, the person who answered said, You havent been here in a few years. You mustnt get sick often. I assured her I dont and she said theyd have to pull my chart from the archives. But today when Greg called, they told him that since he hadnt been seen in 3 years, he couldnt make a sick appointment. He would have to schedule a well check up and intake appointment as a new patient. Apparently, you are penalized for being in good health. He went to convenient care instead and was send to emergency. Every thing checked out, but they are keeping him in overnight for observation. I think he needs something for stress and anxiety.
