Gruntworks Non-Denominational Service ---------------------- Good morning. This is one of those mornings where I am at a loss for what to say. September 11th is right around the corner and threats are high; passions and emotions are high. Next week at this time we will either be at war here in the homeland or the threats will have proven themselves baseless. It is a scary time. Everywhere we look we are told that not all Muslims are bad but all we see are bad Muslims. How can they expect us to be tolerant when all we experience is Islamic Terrorism? The sad answer is: they cant. It is time now not to hold hands and sing of peace but to stand forward and challenge the oncoming storm. Do not huddle and cower or be afraid; instead meet the threat as a warrior seeking a good end here to tell stories about in Vahalla! Terror is their weapon, fighting back is ours! War is not pretty. Many who have never been to war fear its effects; none more so than one who has ready been there and done that. However, if you are relying on such a person to save you or rescue you from what its is coming, you may as well dig your own grave now for you have already elected to die huddled in a corner weeping for your life instead of fighting for it. If you are one of those who constantly insists that someone else will do your fighting for you, then you deserve your end. This war, should it touch our shores in coming days, will force us all to be combatants. I for one will meet my end fighting no matter what politicians tell me. Do I sound like a zealot? Maybe. There is one, slight, difference...I hope these terrorists die a horrible death by righteous hands in their own country. Im not advocating for blind violence and I never will. By all means, extend the hand of peace...just make sure your other hand has a .45 ACP chambered M1911 with a hair trigger ready to go should peace be rejected. I sincerely hope to write next weeks sermon and be able to report to you that nothing happened. Until then however, I pray for peace while I ready my hands for war. May The Lord bless you and keep you; May The Lord make His Face shine on you and be ever graceful unto you; In The Name of The Father, The Son, And The Holy Spirit, Amen.
