Guest Speaker at the RECOGNITION DAY of my HIGH SCHOOL ALMA MATER, THE RAMON ANANCENA HIGH SCHOOL I WAS NOSTALGIC COMING BACK AFTER 39 yrs.!...reminishing the good times, memories, the struggle on my coping up with studies and the hard times with finances to go through my high school. I remember my mom would ask me to sell one paper plate ube and bico just to get my baon from the sold kakanin, 2 pesos for me. If not sold, then the kakanin served as my baon. I go to school with the same pair of white and pink uniform, I wash them at night then iron them the next day. I had one pair of shoes, wearing it all the 4 years in high school, that later gave up and had a hole on the sole, my socks would be so dirty at the end of the day... but could not ask to buy for a new one, no choice!. I have to do the house hold chores when I get home before doing my assignments, the next day I have to cook breakfast before going to school. I shared this story to the High school Honorees... for them to appreciate the sacrifice their parents are doing for their education. For me I was challenged, I was not an Honor student, I was in section 2 only. But the perseverance and the determination in me brought me where I am now....in a better life!... ANG TANGING MAIPAPAMANA NG ISANG MAGULANG SA MGA ANAK AY ANG KANYANG EDUKASYON ... Thank you to all the parents who brought up their kids to where and what they are now!.. A SALUTE TO ALL PARENTS!... TO ALL THE TEACHERS, who became our parents in school and patiently taught us and inspired us to go through education... Thank you MAM and SIR!...and to OUR GOD ALMIGHTY that never ABANDONED us in this struggle... ALL GLORY AND HONOR TO GOD!
