HAPPY TAIL UPDATE: (warning- tearjerker!) Today marks exactly 2 years since I submitted the paperwork to adopt Lulu, the severely neglected and abandoned senior Schnauzer. From a forgotten mess, to an incredibly sweet and gentle girl, Lulu is truly the best dog I have ever had, and I would have never known her if it wasnt for the tireless work that you do. When she was found locked in a crate in an abandoned house, she had all but lost hope. She had every worm possible, an ear infection so severe that she had lost most of her hearing, teeth so rotten all but 2 had to be removed and was hemorrhaging constantly. With those horrible times behind her, several trips to the vet and TLC over the last 2 years, Lulu is now a brand new girl! She loves to go for car-rides (especially with the seat warmers on!), napping in her very own recliner (yes, Im THAT dog mom) and sniffing all the sniffs on our walks. She has lost the 2 teeth that remained so her tongue constantly hangs out but I think it is the most precious thing in the world and she doesnt seem to mind either. Although the old age and years of neglect slowly continue to take their toll on her little body, Lulu is a fighter and will continue to receive the most love I can possibly give to her every single day, for however long we have left together. Thank you for finding me my best friend, for finding the missing piece of my life and of course, for saving hers! Lulu on the day she was rescued & Lulu Today…tongue out, of course!
