HARRISBURG(AP) - Pennsylvania is directly in the path of a major weather system that could dump significant rain, bring hail and cause flooding. AccuWeather meteorologists are also concerned that there can be an enhanced tornado threat Thursday afternoon and evening across parts of the mid-Atlantic. At this time the area of greatest tornado concern Thursday will take aim from Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Baltimore and vicinity southeastward to the Delmarva Peninsula, Richmond, Norfolk and southward into northeast North Carolina. National Weather Service meteorologist Kevin Fitzgerald in State College said Wednesday the entire state is under a flood watch for high waters overnight and through the day Thursday. Fitzgerald says the greatest risk of flooding is in the northern portion of the state, while the worst thunderstorms are expected in southern areas
