HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE EXPRESSION... I NEED TO FIND - TopicsExpress

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD THE EXPRESSION... I NEED TO FIND MYSELF? The Book of Proverbs addresses this attitude in the following manner... A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. -Proverbs 18:2 Simply put, the fool (one who says the God of the Bible is false - see: Psalm 14:1 & 53:1; and those who despise wisdom and instruction - see: Proverbs 1:7) rejects the obvious truth of God along with all of the evidence that exists all around us (including within our very hearts - see: Romans 1:18-20) and searches for the truth within him/herself. The Word of God tells us that we are all created by God for a specific purpose that He Himself has foreordained before we were formed in the womb. No better example of this is given than the Lords words to the Prophet Jeremiah when He says... Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. -Jeremiah 1:5 Not only were all people created by Him with a purpose; but, ALL THINGS were created BY HIM and FOR HIM, and HE HOLDS THEM ALL TOGETHER by His own power. Who [the Lord Jesus Christ from v3] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. -Colossians 1:15-17 The best mankind can hope for when he hopes in himself is pleasure for a moment; but, he has no promise from one moment to the next. The best one can hope for when putting his/her trust in Christ Jesus is Eternal Security. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. -Proverbs 16:25 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. -Romans 8:1 In His Love, Jack B.
