HEALED! I was raised by my parents in the traditional faith from the beginning. However, when I entered the world of work in Laguna I was hooked up with some friends who comes alive every night in a disco bar. To say the least, I was under their influence and before long I do what they do just to make them feel that I belong. But just like all good times they didn’t last long. In spite of this lifestyle though, I still go to church with some of my friends but it was a hollow and shallow ritual that we do on Sunday. Oftentimes we feel drowsy in church. So there came a time when I was in search for reality and I was ready to try another religion just to know God. I was desiring peace of mind. Providentially God guided me to the right path. One Sunday I heard a preaching of a Pastor and I came under the conviction that I never really got to know Him personally and have not been acquainted of His Word. I was so hungry for an encounter with God that I now became a frequent attendee of this church. I learned how to pray and have come to take pleasure in reading His word daily. One time I suffered from sinusitis and was due for operation. The doctor said that I need sixty thousand pesos for the procedure. This got me worried because my salary is not even enough to support the needs of our family. Caught in this situation however, it is a great comfort to have known God because He gave me peace and confidence that He will make a way. I encouraged mom and together we went to church and right there I gave everything of what was left of me to the Lord. That day January 15, 2012 I fully surrendered and gave my heart to the Lord! I then felt His healing touch and praise the Lord, I was healed! Jesus truly is amazing! He led me all those years and changed my life. Where would I be without Him? Jesus completed my life, He is my strength and reason to live! – Mary Rose
