HIGHEST ALERT “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God....” 1 Thessalonians 4: 16—17 A man narrated his story. The President was in town. His arrival was heralded by the sound of deafening sirens. But to his surprise, despite the fact that his house was some hundred metres away from the main road, he didn’t hear any sound. “It was great fun yesterday. Long convoy of cars. You didn’t hear the loud sirens?’ his friends asked the next day. “I heard nothing. I wasn’t expecting him nor preparing for his coming”. It later dawned on him that the RAPTURE of the saints would happen just that way. Jesus will appear in the sky all of a sudden with a loud noise. But not all will hear despite the loudness of the trump of God. Only the people who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb — the redeemed, watchful, ready, holy and prepared saints — will hear the sound and be caught up with the Lord. Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? How are you preparing for His coming? Remember, His arrival will soon be without any notice. Be on the highest alert. Keep yourself pure if you hope to make the rapture
