HISTORIC SANDOWN - FRIDAY 7th to SUNDAY 9th NOVEMBER 2014 A TRIBUTE TO SIR JACK BRABHAM AO. O.B.E. F1 World Champion 1959, 1960 & 1966 We are pleased to announce the opening of entries for the above event, as you can see it is a significant event this year with a tribute to Sir Jack Brabham, who, until his death on 19th May was Patron of the VHRR. It is therefore fitting that Sir Jack’s unique contribution to motor sport is celebrated at the 2014 Historic Sandown in a tangible way. A select cross section of Brabham and Cooper racing cars will be on display (both on and off the track), and awards will include special Brabham medallions, and disks showing aspects of Sir Jack’s remarkable racing career. In the General Supplementary Regulations, we have outlined the changes that will occur with the 2014 event compared to the 2013 event. These are noted on page 4 of the regulations. This year the preferred method of entry is CAMS Event Entry, which is available from a link on CAMS home page at cams.au. If you have used this method in the past you should be familiar with it, and if not full instructions are available on line. All you need to do is create a login name and password and follow some easy steps to create your personal and car profiles – once you have completed that, it is then very simple to enter this event and any future events that use this method. You will also find the Supplementary Regulations, Garage details and Fuel Order Form on the site This method makes the work of the Event Organisers far easier and more streamlined than paper entries, and for the Entrant it is easy to follow the progress of entries as we receive them so that you can see who has entered in real time. Also, the Further Regulations and Event Schedule will be available on the website as soon as they are released. We would like as many Entrants as possible to enter via this method and urge you to familiarise yourself with it’s operation and benefits.
