HOW DO I KNOW ABOUT SHOW DATES? For those that (for whatever reason) dont get premiums by mail or email - and need to know about shows or judges. (this is for AKC specific events - not for any other registry) Go to AKCs site (akc.org.) *Look across the blue bar at the top - look for Dog Shows & Trials. (click) *Look under Winning Spirit for Conformation Dog Shows (click) *Look for Event Calendar (click) *Look at the oodle of tabs and click the kind of event you want. (click) *If you choose Conformation (click) select your breed from the drop down and select the states youre interested in. (up to 10!) Search. A huge list will appear. Read/Print from there or see the options to export to Excel or to PDF. Its a wonderful thing. There are other search alternatives - search at your pleasure. OH - BY THE WAY - if you login to AKC. you can save the shows to your calendar and then from MANAGE YOUR DOGS you can CREATE AN ENTRY FROM there... HUZZAH! - itll fill out nearly ANY kind of entry form for YOUR DOG that AKC has. (Nice. Legible, Saveable, Printable - makes it boo-boo proof... all you have to do is confirm the entry fee for your class, print and sign.) *** MBF Superintendent. (may be available at others but local exhibitors normally work primarily with MBF or Onofrio shows). infodog (MBF Superintendent) has a show calendar too (they show their events and other supts events too - you have to go to that specific supt - click the link - to get info.) * infodog - click Search Panels. *Click by show (show name), by judge (judge name) or by group - lower on the page. *Pick your group. *Pick your breed. *Pick your date range. Itll list ALL the judges for that breed in that date range. Click the show name to get show details. You CAN cut/paste the list into an excel spreadsheet. There are other alternatives - explore at your pleasure. *******NOTE - MBF SHOWS RESULTS OF THEIR SHOWS ON MOST SHOWS AFTER BIS - OR YOU CAN SUBSCRIBE TO GET REAL-TIME MBF SHOW RESULTS - AVAILABLE AS SOON AS SUPT RECORDS THE RESULTS ******* (Others may do this too - i just dont know about them!) I wish Onofrio would. grr! waiting a week or more to see what happened is annoying! *** Most other superintendents nation wide list their events at least 1.5-2 months before an event. If you cant find it on a specific superintendents site - that doesnt mean the event folded - particularly if its been a 2-5 day event in the past. Go to AKCs site for the ultimate info as they approve the event in order for it to be held. *** Now - everyone knows alternative ways of finding judge info and show info!.
