HOW SUNNI HADITH COMPILERS HIDE THE NAMES OF THE 12 CALIPHS OF ISLAM BY SAYING I DID NOT HEAR OR I FORGOT THE NAMES OF THE 12 CALIPHS OF ISLAM: Here is the scattered proofs from sunni sources about the Twelve Caliphs Of Islam BISMILLAHI RAHMANIR RAHEEM A) ONLY ALLAH AND RASULULLAH WILL APPOINTS/SELECT A CALIPH/IMAM NOT THE PEOPLE: 1. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “whoever obeys me, obeys Allah, and whoever disobeys me, disobeys Allah, and whoever obeys the ruler (Caliph) I appoint, obeys me, and whoever disobeys him, disobeys me.” (Sahih Bukhari, Book #89, Hadith #251) 2. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” They said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Who will refuse?” He said, “whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it).” (Sahih Bukhari , Book #92, Hadith #384) 3. Allah never sends a prophet or appoints a Khalifah but he has two groups of advisers: A group that tells him to do good and a group that tells him to do evil and urges him to do it. And the one who is truly protected is the one who is protected by Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. Ibn Abbas reports: “ When Allahs Apostle was on his death-bed and in the house there were some people among whom was Umar bin Al-Khattab, the Prophet said, Come, let me write for you a statement after which you will not be misguided after me. Umar said, The Prophet is seriously ill and you have the Quran; so the Book of Allah is enough for us. The people present in the house differed and quarreled. Some said Go near so that the Prophet may write for you a statement after which you will not go astray, while the others said as Umar said. When they caused a hue and cry before the Prophet, Allahs Apostle said, Go away! Narrated Ubaidullah: Ibn Abbas used to say, It was very unfortunate that Allahs Apostle was prevented from writing that statement for them because of their disagreement and noise. - Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol7:Book 70: Hadith #573 2. Narrated by Said bin Jubair that he heard Ibn Abbas saying, Thursday! And you know not what Thursday is? After that Ibn Abbas wept till the stones on the ground were soaked with his tears. On that I asked Ibn Abbas, What is (about) Thursday? He said, When the condition (i.e. health) of Allahs Apostle deteriorated, he said, Bring me a bone of scapula, so that I may write something for you after which you will never go astray. The people differed in their opinions although it was improper to differ in front of a prophet. They said, What is wrong with him? Do you think he is delirious? Ask him (to understand). The Prophet replied, Leave me as I am in a better state than what you are asking me to do. Then the Prophet ordered them to do three things saying, Turn out all the pagans from the Arabian Peninsula, show respect to all foreign delegates by giving them gifts as I used to do. The sub-narrator added, The third order WAS SOMETHING BENEFICIAL (i.e. to follow the 12 Caliphs as named by Prophet Muhammad) which either Ibn Abbas did not mention or HE MENTIONED BUT I FORGOT. You, O Ali, are the first of the twelve Imams, God has named you in his heavens Ali Al Mortada, The Prince of the believers, Grand truthful, the bright Farouq (Judge and differentiating between true and false), the trusted, and the Mahdi (rightly guided). These names may not be truly attributed to other than you. O Ali, you are my guardian on my own family, their living and their dead. My women, whom you maintain shall find me tomorrow, and whom you reject I am acquitted of her. I will not see her and she will not see me on the day of resurrection, and you are the successor (Khalifa) on my nation after me. If the day of death comes to you, hand it over to my son Hassan the very beneficial. Then if the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to my son Al Hussein, the Martyr, the Pure and the Assassinated. If the day of death comes to him, let him hand it over to his son, the master of the servants and worshipers Ali. E) HONEST SUNNIS DID NOT HIDE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE NAMES OF THE 12 CALIPHS FROM AHL-BAYT : 1. Sunni Sheikh Sulayman Balkhi Hanafi in his Yanabiul-Mawadda, ch.76, reports from Faraidus-Simtain of Hamwaini, who reports from Mujahid, who reports from Ibn Abbas, that a Jew named Nathal came to the Holy Prophet and asked him questions about Tawhid (Unity of Allah). The Holy Prophet answered his questions and the Jew embraced Islam. Then he said: O Holy Prophet, every prophet had a wasi (vicegerent). Our Prophet, Moses Bin Imran, made a will for Yusha Bin Nun. Please tell me who is your wasi? The Holy Prophet said: My vicegerent is Ali Bin Abi Talib; after him are Hasan, and Husain and after them are nine Imams, who are the successive descendants of Husain. Nathal asked the Holy Prophet the names of those Imams. The Holy Prophet said: After Husain, his son, Ali, will be the Imam; after him his son, Muhammad; after him his son, Jafar; after him his son Musa; after him his son, Ali; after him his son, Muhammad; after him his son, Hasan; after him his son, Muhammad Mahdi will be the last Imam. There will be twelve Imams. In addition to the names of the nine Imams, this hadith further states that each would succeed as Imam after his father. Nathal made further inquiries, and the Holy Prophet described the manner of death of each Imam. Then Nathal said, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you are His Holy Prophet. I bear witness that these twelve holy Imams are your vicegerents after you. What you have said is exactly what is recorded in our books and in the will of Moses. Then the Holy Prophet said: Paradise is for him who loves them and obeys them, and Hell is for him who is hostile to them and opposes them. Nathal then recited some couplets to the effect that May Allah, the Exalted, shower His blessings upon you, chosen Prophet and pride of the Bani Hashim. Allah has guided us by means of you and the twelve holy men whom you have named. Certainly Allah has purified them and preserved them from impurity. He who loves them is successful. He who hates them is the loser. The last of the Imams will quench the thirst of the thirsty. He is the one the people will wait for. Prophet of Allah, your progeny is a blessing for me and for all the believers. Those who turn away from them will soon be thrown into Hell. 2. The great sunni scholar, Sheikh Sulayman Balkhi, in his Yanabiul-Mawadda, ch. 76 reports from Manaqib of Khawarizmi, who reports from Wathila Bin Asqa Bin Qarkhab, who reports Jabir Bin Abdullah Ansari; and also Abul-Fazl Shaibani and he from Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Ibrahim Shafii, who reports Jabir Ansari (one of the chief companions of the Prophet) as saying: Jundal Bin Junadab Bin Jubair, a Jew, came to the Holy Prophet and asked him about Tawhid. After hearing his reply, the man became a Muslim. He said that on the previous night he had seen Moses in a dream telling him: Embrace Islam at the hands of the last of the prophets, Muhammad, and attach yourself to the vicegerents after him. He thanked Allah for the blessing of Islam. He then asked the Holy Prophet to tell him the names of his vicegerents. The Holy Prophet began by saying: My vicegerents are twelve in number. The man said that he had seen this fact in the Torah. He asked the Prophet to tell him their names, and the Prophet said: The first of them is the chief of the vicegerents, the father of the Imams, Ali. Then follow his two sons - Hasan and Husain. You shall see these three. When you reach the last stage of your life, Imam Zainul-Abidin will be born, and the last thing that you have of this world shall be milk. So cling to them so that ignorance may not mislead you. The man said that he had seen in the Torah and in other scriptures the names of Ali, Hasan, and Husain as Elias, Shabbar, and Shabbir. He asked the Holy Prophet to tell him the names of the other Imams. Then the Holy Prophet named the remaining nine Imams with their epithets and added: The last of them, Muhammad Mahdi, will live, but disappear. He will appear later and will fill the world with justice and equity, since it will have degenerated into injustice and tyranny. Verily, Paradise is for those who show patience during the time of his occultation. Paradise is for those who are firm in their love for him. These are they whom Allah Almighty has praised in the Holy Quran and for whom the Holy Quran is a guide for those who guard (against evil). Those who believe in the unseen. Also He says These are Allahs party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones. (58:22) F) THE UMARIANS WHO DO NOT WANT TO SHARE THESE NAMES OF THE 12 CALIPHS FROM AHL BAYT. [Sahih Bukhari 89.329 ] G) TO HIDE THE TRUTH ABOUT THE WILL OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD(S) DESIGNATING ALI AS THE FIRST CALIPH OF THE UMMAH, THE UMARIANS HAD FABRCATED A HADITH ALLEGING THAT THE PROPHET DID NOT MAKE A WILL – THAT ONLY THE QUR’AN HE HAD LEFT (AS WHAT UMAR WANTED) AND NO 12 CALIPHS FROM AHL-BAYT: 1.Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allahs Messenger (ﷺ) said, It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will to stay for two nights without having his last will and testament written and kept ready with him. Narrated Al-Aswad: In the presence of `Aisha some people mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) had appointed `Ali by will as his successor. `Aisha said, When did he appoint him by will? Verily when he died he was resting against my chest (or said: in my lap) and he asked for a wash-basin and then collapsed while in that state, and I could not even perceive that he had died, so when did he appoint him by will?
