HOW TO COLLECT URINE FROM THE VEDIC COW – 8 important rules 1. Cow should be pure Indian breed. To know more about Indian cow breeds please read: vishwagou.org/indiancowbreed.htm 2. Cows which graze naturally in open organic fields, preferably forest lands, are most suited. They get to eat the best of herbs and medicinal plants! Cows that are standing in or tied to, one place – their urine cannot be used for medicine purposes. 3. Urine should be collected ideally before sunrise, in a non-metallic vessal by hand. Fallen cow urine should not be used for consumption. Some school of thoughts say that cow urine is great for medicine, irrespective of the time it is collected. 4. Cow whose urine is being collected should be healthy. You should ensure that by physical examination and by touching the ears – usually cold ears & dry lips indicate that cow is unwell. Cows that stop eating food may also be ill. 5. If cow is pregnant – urine can be collected upto the 7th month but not thereafter until 2 months from delivery. 6. Days on which Sun is not visible and/or nights in which moon is not visible, there should not be any collection. Solar or Lunar eclipse should be avoided completely. 7. Age of the cow does not matter for collection. Of course, certain diseases may require urine from specific age, color or gender of cow.
