HOWWWL-OOO! Its FUR, FUR, FUR-I-DAY night!!! Its the end of another busy and sad day...I want to thank mew all for purraying for my Cousin Nick...but God decided he wanted Nick back with him so today he started his journey to the Bridge. Me and his sisfurs, cousins and furriends will be at the top of the stairs when he starts his climb...... Today though, another kitty did make his climb....and we were there for him. It was early this morning that Uncle Hiram came to my condo to wake me up telling me we had to get to the stairs. I got up and we ran all the way! Sammy was already there waiting for us, along with Peppino, Taggie, Emma Jean and Reba Mae. They all had been at the Railing watching over Nick and wanted to help greet the new kitty. Uncle Hiram told us that his name is Scottie the Rockstar Cat....and he had bad insides like me. The part called the kidney didnt want to work anymore (I just learned that the name of my bad inside was called kidney). I wonder if those re-serch-er humans can find a way to keep these kidney parts from going bad... So, Scottie has spent a little time with Gods Special Angel and she let Uncle Hiram know that he was ready to climb. Angel brought Scottie to the first step and gave him a kiss and a hug and told him to stay strong and he will make it up to the top and will be fine. Thats when Scottie saw all of the stairs and was a little nervous. He got himself up a step by using his front paws and then looked up and called out asking where is everyone??? Me and Sammy went down a few steps and told Scottie that we were right there and lot of new furriends were waiting to meet him. Scottie said he feels sick, and weak and cant climb all those steps..I told him that yes he could cause all he has to do is get to the halfway mark and once he gets there he will start to feel better and stronger and then can run the rest of the way up to the top! Well, says Scottie...that doesnt sound too bad but how will I know I am there? Me and Sammy meow out loud and tell Scottie to look for the shiny golden step and that will be the halfway mark! I think that gave him some strength he didnt think he had because he pulled with his front paws and crawled up each step and didnt stop until he got to the halfway mark, being cheered on by all of us at the top. All of a sudden we hear Scottie yell I found gold! Then like a kitten with the zoomies, he ran so fast the rest of the way to the top of the stairs and into all of our open paws!! We hugged and hugged and Scottie the Rockstar Cat was now our furriend and part of our big Bridge Family. In the middle of all the hugging I can see him looking around and getting this sad look on his face...I went to him and asked if he was looking for his Mommy and he said yes, and my sisfur Cheese too. Me and Sammy had to tell him that they werent here yet but he can see them all of the time...starting right now. We take him by the paw and start heading over to the Railing. I tell him that we all come to the Railing to watch over our families and blow them lots of kisses, until we see them again! Scottie runs over and looks around, back and forth and down, then he gets excited and is waving his paw and saying he sees his Mommy Julie! He is yelling Hi Mommy! Im at the Bridge and I made it here just fine...and Im ok...but I love and miss you so much! Then he sees his sisfur Cheese and is waving and meowing to her. He starts blowing lots of kisses to his Mommy and sisfur and wouldnt have stopped, except Uncle Hiram came over and told him they had to go and get him checked in. Scottie left the Railing and we told him we would see him later and then off he went with Uncle Hiram. Right now I need to get back to the Railing and wait for Nick to start his climb.....
