HUNTSVILLE UTILITIES – OUTAGE UPDATE NORTH MADISON COUNTY April 28, 2014 – 7:30 PM Huntsville Utilities Operations Officials estimate 4,200 customers (households and businesses) are without power at this time in parts of Northern Madison County, including the communities of Hazel Green, New Market, and Plevna. Storms moving through Madison County this afternoon have produced scattered damage to the electrical distribution system, including broken utility poles, trees across power lines, and power lines on the ground. Crews will continue working to survey and repair the damage until all electrical service has been restored to these areas. Residents are advised to stay clear of any downed power lines and not to try removing any limbs or debris across power lines. Please call 256-53-LIGHT (5-4448) to report any outages or damage.
