Had a brief conversation about this with a friend the other day...If you stop and think about it, taking offense from the words or actions of another person really makes no sense at all. I would say for the majority of the time, that person had no intention of offending you. It is usually a misunderstanding or something silly escaped them, and they would gladly make it all better simply by communicating with them. And even if it was their motive to offend, why in the world would we give them the satisfaction of achieving their intention? I get that its human nature, and I am by no means saying I dont feel those emotions. But not all of human nature serves us best. Just some random thoughts on a Friday night because I was too lame to make any plans. (Feeling like I should put a hashtag there, but I will refrain. Youre welcome.)
