Had a chance to live up to a promise I made earlier this year to Virgil Radtke, one of the vets (and new friends) we met through Bike For Honor Flight. Virgil grew up on what is now known as Radtke Point Park on Lake Wausau but hes never been on the lake to see the land that used to be their family farm from the lake itself. I promised I would take him and invited his wife, Deanna of 54 years. Very rewarding day to see the smiles from this couple and hear Virgils stories and the history of what is now Lake Wausau. He even brought a map from the early 1900s of the river before the dam was put in (1911) It was also cool to show him the down imaging from the Humminbird too!
