Had a few meetings with some talented and creative people around here since the big status last week. Weve been rethinking a few basic principles and the ways we would like to see drum and bass culture evolving here and also mimicked in other areas of the south where its under valued. Nothing too crazy at first, but ideally a small 50-100 cap pop-up party on odd nights around town with the help of some local homies, only 50 people , all truly committed to the art. Showcase some sounds that we would like to push. Showcasing songs from forward thinking drum and bass producers + other styles with a minimal, deep or creative aesthetic to the art, but all drum and bass as the main-slot act... Demonstrating that under these proper circumstances, drum and bass can demand a place in the club scene in Atlanta, the dance scene in America and the radio community abroad. This should be fun!
