Haha, Im totally shocked, first good idea Ive heard in ages - only if coupled with a social budget. And that is bringing up all social benefits to a fair level. People who are sick or old and have to rely on a pension should not be demonised or harassed like they are and they shouldnt have to jump through impossible and hurtful hoops to obtain it. I agree with unemployment benefits being lower as somewhat of a deterrent, but I also believe we should rather spend money hot-housing our unemployed and getting them out working sustainable jobs or careers. Its not hard, its not rocket surgery, its too late on the path to destruction to worry about rocking the boat, we need courageous politicians willing to stand up for the lower and middle classes. If we keep going as we are - we will be condemned to a path of international revolution - not seen since 1789. Some of you might say; bring it on, but I see the next spate of revolutions closely following the Pol Pot and Rwanda models and that would mean the end of civilisation for much of the earth and a new dark age. All we have now is an illusion and if you think it cant happen and uncannily fast, then cast your mind back and meditate on how fast the Berlin Wall came down or how 911 changed everything.
