Hai dear JY, this specially for all the Dvg JYs ...who are presently not in dvg. We specially remember u with so much of gratitude. The fruits of your sincere prayers and sufferings has beared so much of fruits in dvg now.. We would like to update you about the present scenario..:) :) God has been using JY, dvg from past one year in various ways to spread His Love and Gospel in Davangere and various parts of Karnataka. The first program marked in 2013 was “EPHATHA’13” on February 23rd. The program filled a new spirit in all the members and a new core team was selected. We have two prayer meetings, one in Malayalam, which presently has 80 members and the other in Kannada which has almost 20 members. All the members in JY, dvg is divided into 10 different small groups each with a key leader for better follow-up and functioning. We have started with Saint study, bible quiz , group discussions in every month in the prayer meetings. We conduct one hour adoration for all members every month. We celebrated the “Nurse’s day” on 5th may and as part of it conducted a medical check-up for the students of don bosco . We conducted church fest in May 1st, in which we organised different cultural like skits, drama, mime, dance etc. The JY recommitment day has also celebrated with one hour adoration, anointing by Fr Jose, and had a good time of fellowship. We also visit with the children of Don Bosco orphanage and had been a part in their Christmas celebrations. We had a gathering with all the members of jy and it was a time of evaluation and work forward with the great zeal for our lord. 60 members had attended campus meet and it was a great time of inspiration and enjoyment with our Lord. We conduct night vigils every alternate month. We conducted spiritual counselling for the members. The spiritual counselling was conducted by Bro James, Bro joppachen. We had outreach to different colleges. We conducted a growth retreat – “Sanctus” on 25th and 26th of January for the key leaders of the campuses. We conducted a parish program OR HA’OLAM on February 22nd and 23rd , the resource was Bro Sunny, music – Antony and Simon. There were almost 80 participants for the program.- We also had outreach to our adjacent places like harihar and chitradurga. Our upcoming initiatives and programs are: • One day retreat in Malayalam • Prolife exhibition • Bible study groups and clarifications • Outreach to other colleges in dvg. • Jesus youth prayer meeting in harihar and chitradurga. :) Plz continue to keep us in your prayers.:).We have updated this since many of you had called us up and enquired about us..Thank u so much for that..it was actually a great support and motivation, knowing that there are many people praying for us..:):)
