Halloween and cemeteries always seem to go together. I know - TopicsExpress

Halloween and cemeteries always seem to go together. I know they do for me, and not for the reasons you might think. My wife passed away on Halloween, six years ago. So I’ll go there today with a couple of flowers and two cups of coffee (one for me, one for her). I’ll sit awhile, and we’ll discuss the retirement we should have shared. (you know the one, the one we planned on for decades) And I’ll also use this time to think of all of you planning all the things you want to do together, and of all the trips you are going to take, together, and of all the places you want to see together. And something will always pop into my mind – that something is “DO IT.” And for those of you who don’t have a “together” to do it with, the message still applies. I know it’s a platitude to say that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. It’s said so often that it’s almost like saying “have a nice day”, and no thought is really triggered by this oft repeated sentence. But take it from some guy whose lived on that island for six years now, it really is something you should take to heart. Do it, now! Not “next year,” not “after the kids are out of the house,” not “when your savings account is a little bigger,” not “when you get that next promotion” Do it now, and if you’re lucky you’ll have it done in time to do the next thing that you can dream of, together. https://youtube/watch?v=kN6hNWJTj9Y
