Handwashing is very important in preventing Ebola. One major - TopicsExpress

Handwashing is very important in preventing Ebola. One major thing is also to carry safe/hypersensitive soap and bleach soaked wetcloths in waterproof/plastic, tucked into a purse or somewhere, to very lightly wipe down hands or surfaces as needed. Bleach kills ebola, and doesnt have to be much, just little with water and soap. Hand sanitizers do not necessarily kill ebola, rather they kill bacteria, and may help with some viruses. I wish Nigerians would realize, that the types of bushmeat to avoid in the issue of ebola, are not the kinds sold in Nigeria, apart from the facts that Nigeria doesnt have the type of huge, vast, largely unexplored rainforest regions the congo, Liberia Lofa region, etc, have. Nigerians dont eat bats, and actually, rarely see bats. In terms of Ebola, bats, monkeys, gorrillas and other gross wild animals are the unsafe animals. I would add Bush rats to the list, because of the existence of Lassa fever (but Lassa fever has a vaccination now). The most important thing, most people may not realize, is that the handling and preparation of meat, is the most important thing, because cooking meat thoroughly kills all pathogens including bacteria that can cause disease. Washing hands thoroughly, and cleaning all surfaces used. This applies to all meat, in all countries of the world. One other simple way to solve this, is to buy well cooked or fried meat, or peppersoup bush meats, well roasted meats, etc, and still cooking with them at home to be sure. Avoiding cow suya, bush fowl/chickens, etc, are just putting unnecessary pressure on the economy. Just look at the video to see what Ebola bushmeat looks like. You can never see this type of meat in Nigeria. It makes one feel sick just looking at it. https://youtube/watch?v=XasTcDsDfMg
