Hanover-area (and all) musicians should try to make a point of working with Chuck at A Taste of Bourbon. Ive had the chance to play there twice recently and spoken to him at length and, though I know thereve been a lot of ups and downs with live music there over the years, this guy is really trying to do big stuff for our music scene. Hes just built a pretty decent stage and hes booking bigger and bigger bands, and more frequently. Hes told me its his goal to do whatever he can to help draw people into Hanover and make it into a real competitive market for live entertainment. He says, Gettysburg has Gettysburg Rocks. Why cant we have a Hanover Rocks or something equivalent? and I agree with him. The list of bands on his schedule is getting cooler and cooler with names like Bullet Method, Emilys Toybox, Get Em Wet, Gunmetal Gray and Fell From Zero, not to mention my own Shortbus Fight Club. Also, the food is phenomenal and the drink prices are low. :D
