Happy Birthday Ian MacKaye Each year we all get to share the same moment. We get to celebrate the life and times of our self with loved ones and we also get to extend that outwardly upon other peoples birthdays. My quick nod to the birth of Ian MacKaye is simple and it really just is a thank you. Thank you for making so many years of great music whether it be, Pailhead, Fugazi, Minor Threat, Embrace, Egg Hunt and more. Thanks for taking unique chances on your musical career because they consistently made my ears happy and loved the integrity by which it was done. As a developing human in my teens and early 20s, it was nice to have heros like you to help shape what I was working towards becoming, a decent man. Thanks for being fearless and wearing your integrity on your this is not a fugazi t-shirt. That fearlessness that I got to watch and admire as a fan from a distance really stuck with me and my make up as a person. That make up also is projected in the many avenues I like to squeeze my creative juices over. Thanks for being an example on how to roll with our integrity and morals in check. We are faced often with other peoples disagreements and sometimes are left out on our own to protect our morals and integrity, but we do it with conviction and proudly do it with class.
