Happy Holidays everyone. Yesterday was a time of relaxation after visiting The Church of The Good Shephard where the Rev. Dr. Matthew V. Johnson is senior pastor. As pastor of Gods City of Refuge Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he rendered a word of encouragement to me regarding the characters involved in the birth of Jesus (Mary, Joseph, Jesus, the animals, shephards, and the three wisemen). The road of ministry is not easy, but thank God for mentors and fellow pastors who have journeyed the road I am traveling. As I reflected on the message and the road of ministry ahead, i crafted a few goodies in the kitchen....Rotisserie chicken, currie cabbage with carrots, squash & zuchinni casserole, creamy macaroni with cheese, snaps, field peas and butter beans in a cream sauce.....delicious way to enjoy Sundays at the house!
