Happy Labor Day, #NJ08! Today we remember and celebrate our American workers, both past and present, who have helped America progress both socially and economically. In fact, it was fifty years ago that President Lyndon B. Johnson launched a series of programs aimed at providing opportunities for equality and growth across the country. The Economic Opportunity Act, signed on August 20, 1964, established the Job Corps as well as a series of residential education and training programs.
