Happy Monday All. Since October is Cancer Awareness Month, and by the Grace of God I am a Survivor I would like to share this with you. As I was looking for a book, I found an envelope and when I opened it I found several newspaper articles. My sister, Mary Jane , a nurse, but wrote a weekly column for the local paper. It was called, KODAK MOMENTS. By Mary Jane Dunn I think my reputation for NOT being able to cook made the rounds before I got here. Rose had her surgery on Wed. The 7th. The Surgeon said it was low grade with a 90 % cure rate? he said if she had waited one more year, it would have been a different story. So get your Mammograms ladies. This house looks like a Florist. The refrigerator is packed. I answer the front door and there stands a lady with Flowers and a Fruit tray and before she can get in the House, someone is knocking at the back door with food. Yesterday an 88 yr. old lady, who still farms, brought us fresh corn from her garden and beautiful flowers from her Flower garden. My sister has a multitude of friends. One of her Nurses said you must be one popular chick. And the Nurse that discharged her said when I get your age, I want to be exactly like you, loved and surrounded by friends and loved ones. Her Pastor came by on his way to prayer meeting and the room was FULL. He saidIm not going to Preach, but I am going to take an offering. He was kidding of course. He was also there at 6am when she checked in. I am so grateful for people who pray and for those of you who knew about it and prayed. Rose thanks you and I thank you. Jesus said we are to bear one anothers burdens and you have helped bear mine so many times. How blessed I am ! I have seen Christians love in action this week. My sister is now in Heaven and I am sure her Kodak Moments are all Golden. Her favorite saying was GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD. I say, AMEN. May He bless your day, real good.
