Happy New Year everyone, including family, friends, in-laws, lurkers, stalkers, lovers, haters, crushers, pets, and ...whoever else I missed. I just received an apology from someone from something that accidentally placed them in an embarrassing position, and left me confused. They were so embarrassed that they were afraid they pissed me off;& they did...but I thought of all the scenarios that could have caused the mistake...and I let it go instead of allowing it to linger. The awkward thing is that this person is a partner of mine and was allowing the embarrassment to get in the way of our $. So I continued to communicate with them as if nothing happened for like a week. Yes, it was very awkward but we were communicating again. Today they invited me out and I joked about the mistake...they apologized like a million times and told me how embarrassed they were. We are kool again now, and under the circumstances of that evening, I probably could have made the same mistake if I were in their position. My point is to not always think the worst when things do not go your way. Hostility, anger, vindictiveness, isolation, gossip, and resentment are some dangerous poisons to harvest. Ignoring, denying, and avoiding the elephant in the room only temporarily masks issues that could have been resolved. Though in some cases, one party forgives and moves on, and the other party continues to thrive off of anger and negativity. In this case do whatever you have to do within in legal limitations to keep yourself safe, protected, and free of drama. Be safe FB, treat people right, be honest, avoid drama (MIND YA BUSINESS) no matter who initiates it, dont let jealously and envy lead your emotions, & never bask in someone elses downfall. 2015 aint ready for me! #teamguap #nevastop
