Happy Registration of the First Lithuanian Trademark Day! An application for registration of the first trademark EKSTRANSAS was filed in 1922. Soon the mark was registered as the first trademark in Lithuania. After three years, on 27th January, 1925 the Parliament passed a law protecting trademarks. We would like to show you an interesting passage found in this law: Everything, such as brands, stamps, seals, woven or sewn tags, labels, vignettes motto, badges, covers, drawings of original images, packages and individual words with which the merchants-manufacturers, artisans and all manufacturers mark their goods, their packages or containers, is considered to be trademarks.
