LA Sr H&S Expert – Machine Guarding, Risk & PSM Career Level Experienced Function Environmental Health & Safety Function Segment Health and Safety Location(s) Where Opening Is Available Argentina Brazil Mexico Venezuela, Bolivarian Republic of City Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico & Argentina This position works to maintain compliance, execute EHS programs, reduce risk and deliver EHS excellence at operations, with particular focus on Machine Guarding, Risk & PSM principles, requirements and proactive measures. This Senior Health & Safety Expert will lead the region in compliance to requirements and develop consistent expectations. In addition to Machine Guarding, Risk & PSM responsibilities, this expert will help lead and contribute to overall Health & Safety excellence. Essential Responsibilities This role has responsibility for compliance throughout the region, specifically in the areas of Machine Guarding, Risk & PSM, while supporting other Health & Safety programs at fixed facilities, service operations, offices and other entities, including EHS support at sites and operations that do not have dedicated EHS personnel; must rities across all businesses while maintaining superior customer service; be able to identify, eliminate and/or mitigate EHS risks; will need to be a thought-leader in the region, and a key team member of the Global Machine Guarding, Risk & PSM efforts; should engage and leverage the Enterprise Standards team in the development of proactive solutions necessary to reduce future risk; remains current with and/or develops understanding necessary of regional EHS regulations and EHS programs specific to assigned priorities or job scope; conducts EHS training; supports all other EHS regional demands as assigned Qualifications/Requirements Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; 7+ years of Health & Safety experience with a working technical understanding of Machine Guarding, Risk Management tools and PSM. 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, either with direct reports or leading in a matrix organization. Desired Characteristics Related Health & Safety expertise outside of primary responsibility, i.e. Electrical Safety, High Risk Operations or Processes, Crane Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Material Handling, Flammable Safety, Contractor Safety. Hands-on or direct experience executing an EHS program at afixed facility or service operation. Experience with one or more businesses within the region. Strong knowledge of EHS programs and policies; Relationships acros subsidiaries and businesses; Solid experience with EHS regulatory obligations; Strong understanding of legal requirements associated with EHS issues; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills. ccarneiro77@gmail
