Happy Thanksgiving all! This has been quite a tumultuous year and Im grateful its almost over, but Im also grateful for what Ive lost and learned. First, I am so thankful for my amazing family and friends! My family (blood and not - you know who you are) have been extraordinary this year when I needed you most. Im thankful my previous job of 14 1/2 years was eliminated in January. I learned it did not define me. Although I did a lot of good and helped a ton of people over the years that job was destroying my health and my happiness. I am thankful for family bringing me to see them for a get-a-way for my birthday to see my niece graduate from high school, my nephew receive his lifetime Bat Award from Little League and to relax and recharge. Although I have had some health issues this year I am thankful for the fact I wasnt working, had insurance and was able to work with my doctor and the hospitals to address these and finally feel good and better again! I am thankful that when I was at my lowest I was able to be humbled and accept help when it was offered. After years of helping others it was difficult to be on the receiving end. I am thankful I had time off from working to volunteer. I am thankful I was able to leave the hospital to travel to see my oldest niece marry the love of her life. I am thankful for my new job at the place Ive always wanted to work! I am thankful for my three furry boys who always show me soooo much love and bring me so much joy! I am thankful for so much more, but these are the highlights. I wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends!
