Happy Tuesday! Its almost Christmas! And if youre wondering what movie to watch tonight, Ive got the answer for you. Watch The Holiday! This American comedy by Nancy Meyers is the most cheesy, romantic, Christmassy film you could possibly watch during Christmas break. Yet, I still love it and find it so much fun. At Christmas time, Iris and Amanda decide to exchange houses to have some time for their selves and leave behind their tragic relationships. Both are lucky enough to make new amazing friends and lovers. Let me say how amazing the cast is: the protagonists are Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, who gets to fall in love with the super good-looking Jude Law! Can one be luckier than this? Joe Black is also in the cast (but Im afraid that most ladies will be pointing at the other gentleman.. sorry Joe!). Also, I loved the setting of the movie: while Iris gets to live in a modern furnished house that could be a living IKEA in Los Angeles, Amanda finds herself in a cosy cottage in the middle of Surrey, England. Im sure that anyone whos watched this has thought of having the same house-exchange experience once in their lifetime - I certainly have. I hope you enjoyed this short review, A.
