Happy Wednesday... Tuesdays are always a whirlwind day at French Hen. I have no idea why but I guess it is because we are closed on Monday? Yesterday was a steady stream of phone calls, walk-ins who have merchandise to sell, emails, pushing furniture to fill in for what has gone out on the weekend, and most importantly, waiting on customers. It was also a late night as we are changing out one of the windows for the Harvest Days coming up this weekend. We are only half way through as my original idea looked great on paper, but in reality it just didnt click for me when we began to put the pieces together in the window. Sooooo..... we had to take a different direction. I like the new design better but it meant that I didnt have most of the fill for the display and I am going to have to pull it together today. Why am I sharing this bit of info? Because everyone has a blip or two as they go through the process of design. I hear it all the time from customers, they made a mistake in color choice or fabric patterns, and it has totally immobilized them from moving ahead in any direction, they are afraid of failing again. DO NOT give up on yourself, the best of the best designers make mistakes and chalk it up to just what it is....an oops!! Somewhat frustrated last night I decided to take a stroll on the web for inspiration and found a great page with ideas that spoke to me. I thought I would share two of Diane Henkler {InMyOwnStyle} ideas for Fall/Halloween. These are so simple and look great....Enjoy!!
