Happy new year huh?...guess it all depends on what you focus your lens on. Your life, your health, your loved ones and childrens health and life. But on flipside we still slaves corporate amerikkka, black men being killed at an alarming rate. Happy? The hungry still hungry, the poor still poor, politicians still just lying, getting paid...we still losing as a people, the privatized prison complex still up and running, we still being over taxed and under paid, corporations still making millions as we take our money and give it back to the system. Weed still illegal, no power to the people. Happy? Some of us will make resolutions, we will lose weight, stop smoking, stop drinking, but no resolutions to stop being a slave. Happy?...I will be happy till we free ourselves from this bullshit, when we unite, when we find our pride, our strength as a people, when we stand up together and change the world, black men stop killing each other, when black women love each other as sisters, when black people start loving ourselves so we can learn to love each other better. Happy?...Dare to change for the better, dare to stand for more, dare to be that glitch. We gotta stop raising slaves who will be doomed to follow the path we laid. 2015 should be a time for change, true change. Its time.
